Project Life Spark is a federally incorporated non-profit organization based in Canada, with charitable status currently pending. We are dedicated to supporting the mental health and healing of veterans, first responders, and frontline professionals—especially when traditional approaches have not worked. Through access to alternative, clinically guided therapies in safe and supported environments, we help our nation’s heroes find renewed purpose, hope, and connection.
MISSION:
The purpose of Project Life Spark is to provide life-changing support to military veterans, first responders, and others who suffer from PTSD, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), depression, and mild substance abuse. By funding access to safe, clinically guided psychedelic therapy and advocating for the responsible and ethical use of psychedelic medicines in Canada, Project Life Spark aims to transform mental health treatment. Additionally, the organization seeks to advance research and education on the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, raise public awareness about mental health challenges, and ensure that these healing modalities become accessible, regulated, and recognized as valid treatment options. Through its efforts, Project Life Spark aspires to end suicide among veterans and first responders and improve their overall quality of life.
GOALS:
1. Advocate to the Canadian and Provincial Governments for the recognition and availability of psychedelic therapy as a legitimate and medically appropriate treatment option for PTSD and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). This includes improving access through the Special Access Program and advocating for amendments to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Food and Drug Act to facilitate responsible and regulated use of these therapies.
2. To establish a reliable funding mechanism that enables military veterans and first responders experiencing PTSD, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), depression, or substance use disorders to access therapeutic treatments tailored to their needs.
3. The organization is committed to supporting rigorous, academically grounded research programs that examine the mental and physical effects of psychedelic medicines, particularly Ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT. These studies will focus on evaluating long-term outcomes, efficacy, and treatment timelines in comparison to traditional methods of care. By funding well-designed research initiatives where appropriate, the organization aims to advance the responsible use of psychedelics in Canada for the treatment of PTSD, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and related symptoms.
