Founded by Canadian Armed Forces veteran Allan Anderson, the company brings traditional southern-style smoking methods to Alberta, using natural hardwood smoke, simple ingredients, and time-honoured techniques to create bold, honest flavours.
Starting with preorder takeaway and catering services, Smoky Oak BBQ offers classic barbecue main dishes like smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, turkey and sides like creamy mac & cheese, coleslaw, potato salad and more, all crafted in small batches for quality and consistency.
Smoky Oak BBQ currently focuses on pre-sold pop-up events, community fundraisers, and local partnerships, with plans to expand into farmers markets and other events with retail-ready vacuum-sealed “heat & eat” meals.
